October 23, 1958 – March 18, 2024
James (Jimmy) Hilton went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, on March 18, 2024 after a prolonged illness. Jimmy had a life-long love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Throughout his life, he joyfully shared his passion with others, teaching many family members and friends to hunt and enjoy nature. He was also a talented artist and painted beautiful landscapes. Jimmy's friends and family would describe him as sweet, gentle, and having a loving heart.
Jimmy graduated from Sullivan Central High School in 1976. He worked for many years as a pressman, first at the Kingsport Press and then after relocating to the Durham, North Carolina area, at the Valasis Company.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He married the love of his life, Diana Hope. He has two sons, Dustin and Dallas, and one granddaughter, Shayla. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hilton, and sister, Regina Hilton Rock. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Hope Hilton; sons, Dustin Hilton and Dallas Hilton; granddaughter, Shayla Hilton; mother, Jolene Hilton; sisters, Kim Carter, Amy Supino, and Tara Blair; brothers, John Hilton and Benji Willis; along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 3:00PM at Sunnyside Baptist Church, 406 Cooks Valley Rd., Kingsport, TN 37664.

Oh, I am sorry to hear this. Our families grew up together in the same neighborhood, and Jimmy and I were close during our school years. This is sad news. My condolences to the family.
